Congratulations to Head Coach Jared Wacker and our baseball team as they win the Region 4 D1 Baseball Championship! The team upset the #1 seed South Suburban College on May 9 with a 19-5 score. Caden Guenther earned Player of the Tournament, and Coach Wacker earned Region 4 Coach of the Year honors.
The win advances them to the NJCAA D1 Baseball Midwest District Tournament, scheduled for May 14-16 (rain date May 17; we know that is also Commencement). The tournament will host the Region 4, 11, and 24 champions. (Iowa Western College, Lake Land College, McHenry County College, and Southwestern Illinois College)
Winner of the Midwest District earns a berth to the NJCAA D1 World Series held in Grand Junction, CO, May 24-31.
