2018-19 Men’s Baseball Team Continues Winning Tradition with 41-14 Record

The men's baseball team closed out the 2018-19 season with an impressive record of 41 wins and only 14 losses. The team, who were NJCAA Region IV Sectional and Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) Champions, were also ranked nationally in the top 20 NJCAA DII National Poll.

Catcher Ryan Parquette (Crystal Lake South) was named ISCC Player of the Year; John Vanderploeg Pitcher of the Year; and coach Jared Wacker received the Coach of the Year title. Parquette also won the Region IV Gold Glove Award and was named an NJCAA All-American.

The team boasted achievements off the field as well, earning an average GPA of 3.23. Catcher Logan Rezash also received the Dick Durrant Award, an honor given each year to the male and female athlete in the ISCC who attains the highest grade point average after completing four semesters of college work.
