The McHenry County College (MCC) women's volleyball team recently earned seventh place at the NJCAA National Tournament held November 21-23 in Charleston, WV.

The team originally earned their spot at nationals after winning the Region IV Volleyball Championship in early November. Their overall 2019 season record was 31-17.

Student-athletes Nina Hood (Streamwood) and Lilli Leggett (McHenry) were named to the All-Region Tournament Team, an elite group of seven players selected from 18 teams and approximately 180 players in Region IV. Coach Kyle McCall was also named as District B Coach of the Year.

"We are extremely proud of this team and the hard work and dedication they've put into this season," said Karen Willey, director of Athletics at MCC. "They gave it their all at every competition and earned the best finish at the national tournament in school history."
