Congratulations to Elle Lagerstrom, MCC's November 2023 Student-Athlete of the Month.

"Elle is a sophomore on our women's tennis team. She is a natural leader and was named Team Captain by her teammates before the season started and has fulfilled that role wonderfully. She led warmups with drive and even called a "players-only" meeting prior to the regional tournament to make sure everyone was on the same page. She handles herself with dignity and class, earning a nomination for the annual sportsmanship award at our Regional Tournament. I have also had several compliments about her from other coaches," lauds Women's Tennis Head Coach Jim Stockwell.

In the classroom, Elle holds herself to the highest academic standards and is on track to earn ISCC Academic All-Conference honors and graduate with NJCAA Academic All-American status.  On the court, Elle earned All-Skyway Honors at #5 Singles, won her Flight (#5) at the Regional Tournament, and teamed up with Sophia Davidson to make a strong run at #2 doubles.
