Kyle McCall is entering his ninth season, as the head coach of MCC volleyball. Before accepting the position as head coach, he was involved in the program as an assistant coach (2002 and 2012) and volunteer (1998). The program has recorded: four Illinois Skyway Conference Championships, six All-Americans, three ISCC Region IV B titles, three appearances at the NJCAA National Championships, and a seventh-place finish in 2019 in the McCall/Mayner tenure. MCC volleyball has been ranked as high as fifth in the country during his tenure. MCC Volleyball finished the 2020 season ranked #6 in the NJCAA national poll.

McCall believes that promoting a positive, dedicated, and consistent approach helps produce the best results in his athletes. McCall works to recruit players that can not only be the best player in the gym but role players for their teammates. In addition to physical training and skill development, McCall emphasizes mental training and competitive toughness. Combining talent, discipline, and consistency, McCall has achieved excellent results and sets high expectations for his MCC stude0nt athletes both in the classroom and on the court.

McCall started his volleyball career playing sand volleyball and has over 15 years playing at a competitive level and continues to participate in and direct tournaments throughout the year. He has coached/directed volleyball at a variety of levels, youth through collegiate and adult. McCall and Mayner have helped every player continue playing, that wanted to continue playing, years three and four after their time at MCC is done. These players have gone on to play at NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA schools. McCall holds an Associate of Science and Associates of Business Management from McHenry County College and a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies, with Business and Marketing Minors from Columbia College of Missouri.
