The McHenry County College (MCC) women's basketball team is off to a winning start. The Scots recently won six games in a row, and nearly halfway into the season maintain a record of 10-1. Freshman forward Aleicia Valldejuli was also recognized as December's Student-Athlete of the Month.

This year's successful start comes on the heels of a successful 2018-19 season where the Scots earned the runner-up spot in the NJCAA Region IV Tournament. In that season, several student-athletes were also recognized for their individual achievements. Point guard McKaylie Krey was named Region IV District L Player of Year, and forwards Grace Gajewski, Madi Kaempf, and Krey were named to the Region IV All-Tournament Team. Gajewski set a record for most three-point field goals in one game and Addie Ringel set a record with ten total game blocks.
