Coach Wally Warner began his inaugural season as Head Coach of the MCC Softball Team for the 2016-17 season. Previously, he served as the Head Varsity Softball Coach at Johnsburg High School in the area’s Fox Valley Conference for six seasons. In his tenure, he helped produce 20 All-Conference players and two All-State honorees. From 2008 through 2014, all teams placed with a 3.0 or higher and earned academic All-State Honors He played a key role in providing guidance and referencing for high school players moving on to play at the collegiate level.

Warner’s softball experience also includes CEO and sports consultant for the Sub Zero Girls Fastpitch Softball Association 2011-present. His honors include seven national softball appearances for U14, U16, and U18 for Northern Ice and Sub Zero Travel Leagues. He has served as a board member for Northern Ice Fast Pitch League for four years and has also served as Director of Fundraising and Tournaments. He also is a member of the National High School Coaching Federation.

Coach Warner is striving to develop a softball program based on responsibility, respect, and commitment to the collegiate program. He believes MCC Softball can be a jewel of the area softball community, having coached and worked with many of the area softball coaches and players. Warner stresses speed and aggressiveness on the bases and teams that can compete as a unit.
