Amy Maretich-Lane
Amy Maretich-Lane was an outstanding Women’s Tennis player 2000-02. The Johnsburg High School graduate was the #2 women’s tennis singles ISCC champion 2000 and 2001. In 2001 and 2002 she qualified for the NJCAA national tournament with her doubles partner Lindsay Sweinberg-Wians. The team finished in ninth place at the prestigious NJCAA national tournament in 2002. She graduated from MCC with her Associates of Science and finished her business degree at Columbia College Crystal Lake campus and was employed with Sears Holding corporate offices. She is currently working as a stay-at-home mom and resides in Richmond with her family.
Wally Reynolds
Walter “Wally” Reynolds is inducted as the Director of Athletics 1990-2014. During his administrative tenure, he oversaw eight sports, developing the new Men’s Soccer program. He also initiated the first athletic awards program at MCC, the Academic Success Program and the MCC Athletic Hall of Fame. He promoted and led many developments and improvements in MCC indoor and outdoor facilities. He remains active with Region IV athletics as the Assistant Men’s Director. He currently resides in Schaumburg with his wife.
Lindsay Swienberg-Wians
Lindsay Swienberg-Wians was also an outstanding Women’s Tennis player 2000-02. The Cary High School graduate earned the #1 singles ISCC championship in 2000 and 2001. She also qualified for the NJCAA national tournament as the #1 singles player from Region IV. She and her doubles partner, Amy Maretich-Lane, were NJCAA national qualifiers in 2001 and 2002. The team finished in ninth place at the prestigious NJCAA national tournament in 2002. She graduated from MCC with her Associates of Science and worked at Varian Medical Systems. She currently is working as a stay-at-home-mom and resides in Cary with her family.
Michele Zimmerman
Michele Zimmerman was a four-sport athlete participating in the Cross-Country, Volleyball, Women’s Basketball and Softball teams 1984-1986. She was named to the ISSC Academic All-Conference team 1985 and 1986. Michele earned ISCC All-Conference honors in Cross-Country 1985, Volleyball 1984 and 1985, Women’s Basketball 1985 and 1986, and Softball 1985 and 1986. She was named the ISCC Softball MVP in 1986. Following MCC, she played softball at UW-Parkside and attained her B.F. in Art Education. She has also earned her Master’s degree in Educational and Curriculum Development from Concordia University. Her coaching career included a stint as MCC softball coach 1990-97 and McHenry HS volleyball coach 1986-2005. She currently is an art teacher at McHenry High School.
